What is Interview on Demand?

Once a company has identified qualified candidates, they can use Interview On Demand’s video interview to start the hiring/evaluation process.  Neither party needs expensive equipment or any technical know-how. First, the hiring manager creates an interview from our template or his or her own unique questions. With a click of a button, our system invites potential candidates to take the interview. Then the candidate answers the interview question while being recorded by a webcam. The final product is a video of each candidate’s responses which is available to the employer’s hiring team via the internet anywhere, anytime. When companies are ready to review the interviews, they simple log on to our site, choose from a list of completed interviews, sit back, and watch the video.  If more than one person needs to review the interviews, no problem, any number of authorized reviewers can log on from any location at any time.

What if I am behind a firewall and can't view videos?

Sometimes the system administrator of a company may have put your computer behind a firewall that doesn't allow our video to show up. When this happens, you will be able to tell because the stand alone video player

- which looks like this - Thumbnail of the stand alone video player from Interview on Demand - notice the label in the upper right hand corner which normally shows the number of plays left for a video.

will not have the label at the top showing the number of plays left on the video. This happens because the firewall is preventing the connection to our video server.

There is a setting that you can change in your preferences that will fix this. Log on to the system, click on "My Company Master Accounts," then My Preferences," then click the "Video Connections" tab. Click the checkbox labeled "Yes" at the end of the question 'Connect to video server using tunneling option?' You can watch the video in our tutorials section if you have any problems.
