Video interviewing for engineers
Video interviews can easily be customized for engineering positions.
Interview On Demand allows you to create questions for engineers (thanks to Mr. Lychee’s article for the heads up) within the template supplied to hit the highlights of what’s most important for you to know before you go to the time and expense of bringing in candidates.
After you have reviewed resumes, you choose the candidates to be contacted by e-mail. When they’re ready (within the time frame you set up), they sign in and answer your questions via webcam. They get the questions one at a time, and have two minutes to answer each one (they get a few practice questions so they can become more comfortable in front of a camera).
Answers are stored online so that you can access them at your convenience, and share them with the hiring team in your company.
Once the hiring team has reviewed and compared answers, they can extend invitations to candidates to come in for face-to-face interviews.
