Video interviewing for teachers
In some markets, teaching positions attract many more candidates than there are spots, which becomes a burden on administration to weed through all those resumes to find the right people to interview (on limited time). In other markets, teachers are hard to come by and principals must look much further away to find good teachers. Video interviewing is a great solution to both problems. It allows you to efficiently and inexpensively “pre-interview” teachers to see personality, enthusiasm, and all those intangible qualities that make for a great teacher.
Here’s how it works:
- Once you review resumes and find several candidates you’re interested in, go to Interview On Demand to create questions that can be customized for teaching positions. Virginia Tech also offers some sample teacher interview questions.
- Contact the candidates that you’re interested in by e-mail so that they can answer the questions via webcam (only $39.95 through Interview On Demand).
- Answers are stored online to be viewed at your convenience (and can be shown to others as needed), so that you can make more informed choices about which ones to bring in for a face-to-face interview.
The ease and affordability of the system makes it possible to “see” many more candidates than you might be able to in person, widening the scope of your search and ensuring you find the best available teacher for your school.
INTERVIEW on DEMAND - removing the barriers between TOP CANDIDATES and the COMPANIES that seek them.
Hiring managers - make faster, better hires while reducing costs.
Recruiters - make more placements with more companies, faster.
