Welcome to Interview On Demand, an online video interview service.
Video interviews are the newest interviewing technique available for hiring managers. They are becoming more common all the time, and we believe they will soon become an integral part of the hiring process. To meet this need, we’ve built Interview On Demand from the ground up with an eye toward ease and simplicity of use.
Interview On Demand makes it easy for hiring managers to create custom interviews and invite candidates to take them. Candidates receive an e-mail invitation, click on the link and use a webcam to answer timed questions created by the hiring company for that specific position. There are practice questions so the candidate can review his performance before the real thing, and tips for successful interviews available on our website. Hiring managers are notified when the interview is completed, and they can send the recorded interview to others in the company for input.
Video interviewing gives companies an edge in the talent war by using new technology to expand their candidate pool while saving time and money. Instead of choosing the top two candidates from a stack of paper resumes to come in for a personal interview with all of the potential costs (maybe you’ll have to fly them in) and scheduling conflicts involved, you could invite as many as you’re interested in to video interview. It doesn’t matter where they’re located or what anyone’s schedule is. Video interviews along with traditional resumes give you the most information possible so that when you do schedule a face-to-face, it won’t be wasted time.
